Parachilna to Wilpena
August 2021, Parachilna to Wilpena 5 nights on Adnyamathanha Country, and 65 km on the trail. Day one Day one consisted of driving from Adelaide to the Flinders and doing a car drop near Mayo Hut. On the Heysen, starting at the northern terminus, we had an easy walk in from Parachilna Gorge to the We walked the 1 km in from the gorge to the 'hiker site'. The rain was all around us but we had a great and dry campground. Day two On day two we steadily climbed for 18 km along creek lines between the Heysen and ABC ranges to Aroona (a good drive in campsite with water). Day three Day three hit me, I was ready to camp the moment we hit the Yanyanna track and well before our scheduled stop at Yanyanna Hut. The day started with a hard slop out of Aroona. The walk along Brachina Creek was nice ... Day four Day four ..... Day five Day five a short one into Wilpena....
